Welcome to hear stories from the shores of the Baltic sea at the Tuulen tuomaa – International Storytelling Festival!

You will hear many different kinds of stories from great storytellers from the Nordic countries, Germany, Estonia and Finland:

Heidi Dahlsveen (Norway), Johan Theodorsson & Anders Peev (Sweden), Annemarie Krarup (Dennmark), Martin Ellrodt (Germany), Piret Päär (Estonia), Kassandra ry (Finland), Robin DeWan (USA), Markus Luukkonen, Eppel & Peppel and many others!

During the day it is possible to hear stories, music, take part in workshops and perform on the open stage. Some of the performances are for the whole family some only for adults.

The festival is held at the idyllic Suomenlinna fortress in Gallery Augusta, Cafe Jääkellari and in the atmospheric and mystical passageways and tunnels.

Shaibalaiba! – Three Years

Shaibalaiba! – Story Café is a cosy gathering around stories and it has been organiced since April 2011 in different venues around Helsinki in Finland. There’s some invited storytellers to share their stories, musician guests and the open stage for everyone who wish to tell a story. Usually stories are told in Finnish, but now and then there are storytellers telling stories in various languages and at least two times a year there is a Special Shaibalaiba! – Story Cafe with stories in English only.

On April 2014 it’s time to celebrate because Shaibalaiba! – Story Cafe has been running three full years! Since April 2011 there has been 25 Story Cafe’s with numerous storytellers, stories and musicians. Let the story go on

On April the set of Storytellers will be the same as in the very first Story Cafe in 2011.
