A social gathering where sharing your own everyday stories and listening to others is made easy and fun! All you need is an open mind and a hunger for stories and new people. The café is organized by the Story Sharing 2016 project which helps immigrants, asylum seekers and Finns to meet and share stories together.

Welcome to Shaibalaiba! – Story Café
Shaibalaiba! – Story Café is a cosy gathering around stories and it has been organiced since April 2011 in different venues around Helsinki in Finland. There’s some invited storytellers to share their stories, musician guests and the open stage for everyone who wish to tell a story. Usually stories are told in Finnish, but now and then there are storytellers telling stories in various languages and at least two times a year there is a Special Shaibalaiba! – Story Cafe with stories in English only.
On April 2014 it’s time to celebrate because Shaibalaiba! – Story Cafe has been running three full years! Since April 2011 there has been 25 Story Cafe’s with numerous storytellers, stories and musicians. Let the story go on
On April the set of Storytellers will be the same as in the very first Story Cafe in 2011.
